Abstract

Ken Harrison, hyde.com’s Service Manager, is an A+ Certified Service Technician. He has also successfully completed the Compaq CTIA A+ Certification. He has a very thorough knowledge of Local Area Networks and associated hardware, software, and peripherals. He is our Senior Support person for Novell Operating Systems. He also manages other support personnel as needed. His specialization includes:

·         Micro Desktop Computers

·         Micro Computer Peripherals

·         TCP/IP, PPP, IPX/SPX Protocols and Wiring

·         Microsoft Windows and Windows Applications

He is hyde.com’s Service Manager and a key member of our team.  He is responsible for receiving and configuring new installation hardware prior to delivery on-site, participating as a lead team member during the installation procedures, and assuring any future service request you may have are handled on a timely basis. Ken has several years of experience responding to the needs of our client partners, and is especially knowledgeable of legal environment particulars. Ken's past experience with hyde.com includes on-site contract support at a local law firm where he was responsible for all areas of Network management, from file server to helpdesk support in an environment with over 100 workstations.  His knowledge base and technical skills are superior.

Ken Harrison joined the hyde.com family as a charter staff member when the company opened in July 1996. He was on the technical staff of CST from 1990 to 1996. He began is career by supporting CST’s Montgomery, Alabama location for the Desktop III service contract at Maxwell Air Force Base. He was responsible for the repair of over 4,000 pieces of hardware.  

Ken completed his formal technical education at John Patterson State Technical College. He is A+ Certified with a specialty in Microsoft™ Windows™ and DOS environments, has completed a Hewlett Packard course of study in the maintenance and repair of HP Personal Computer Product SPN 049: HP Vectra ‘95 Models; SPN 045: HP VL2/2E, VL2 5/60, M2, N2, XM2, SP, XU; SPN 040: HP NetServer LH/LH2; SPN 047; HP NetServer LS/LS2; Macintosh Service & Tools Certification; and, Sequent 52000 H/W Maintenance.

Ken has also successfully completed the Compaq CTIA A+ Certification examination and has hands-on experience with the following Compaq products: (1) Proliant 4500, 4500R, 2000, 1500, 1000; (2) System Pro Line; (3) Deskpro Line, (4) Prolinea Line, (5) SLT 386, (6) LTE Line, (7) Contura Line, (8) LTE Lite Line, (9) Presario 500 Series, 900 Series, 4700 Series; (10) Prosignia 300 & 500.   Ken also has hands on experience installing and support a huge variety of software packages that are industry specific. 

In his spare time, Ken enjoys music; spending time all the time he can with his wife, Anita, and young daughter, Jade, and of course, tweaking computer hardware and software.
